The CollegeConnect Program at VisionLink Solutions, LLC is designed to help students who are blind or have low vision prepare for success in postsecondary education. Through individualized, hands-on instruction, students build the skills needed to manage college expectations, use assistive technology effectively, strengthen self-advocacy, and increase confidence in academic environments.

Program Overiew

The CollegeConnect Program provides structured support for students who are preparing for college or currently enrolled in postsecondary education and need blindness-specific training to succeed more independently. The program focuses on helping students build practical skills for navigating college life, accessing course materials, communicating with professors and disability services, and managing academic responsibilities.

Training is designed to strengthen independence, improve readiness for college expectations, and reduce common barriers that can interfere with student success. Instruction is individualized based on each student’s goals, current skill level, technology needs, and educational plans. The program may be delivered through summer sessions, ongoing support, or a combination of academic-year services depending on student need and program structure.
